Actually, that's not a bad idea. I was stationed at Malmstrom AFB in the early 80's. Sure gets cold up there, though. But there's nothing like the Rockies and Cascades.
Try the Flathead Valley around Kalispell (I live in Columbia Falls just 16 miles north of there).
Beautiful Valley and the winters aren't as bad as they are East of the Mountains.
