Haggard made a statement about how he misses the Clinton days, what a great president he was. He also made some nasty remarks about President Bush.

Sounds like a Clinton whopper.

LOL! See what you did... you made him cry.

If his Mama bought a VCR when he was 11, 12, or 13, then she was spending a lot of money for the time. The story just doesn't ring true. Maybe when he was 15, 16, or 17.

You're probably right.

Are you sure Hill is a Republican? I can't stand couples where the guy is a Dem

It's stuff you grow up with, but you learn a lot from that."

Apparently, you didn't learn much if you think Clinton was "the best president we ever had," clymer.

If he keeps it up, he will probably be singing backup for the Dixie Chicks.

Good one!

Despite his lovely wife (and their 2 - 3 daughters), Timmy lost a lot of his (very) little country appeal when he did Elton John's 'Tiny Dancer' - just look at him in his 'T-, leather pants and hat - he'd fit right in with Elton and Hollyweird-Wyoming sheep herder crowd!

If he is 38, then, according to this, his parents had a VCR sometime between 1979 and 1982. VCRs were not cheap back then.

&&
Good catch. You are so right; VCRs were a few hundred in those days. Apparently, him mother was as foolish with her money as she was with her favors.

Well, now we will have to take Faith away from him. No Rat alive can possibly deserve her.

She's a Rat, too. And trampy, if you ask me.

Like Hillary's! fake Southern accent during the "stand by your man" 60 Minutes interview.

I hadn't noticed until CNN played that snippet from that interview on one of their reports the other day.

I notice that too! Blew me away!

I saw that last night on CMT, the Clinton's Viacom channel for country music fans. The show was about Tammy Wynette, but they did this long stretch of Hillary-talk, and there were interviews with one of those feminazi-folks and Sandra Bernhard (sp?). It was sickening to see Hillary and her Sandra Dee show, complete with the blonde(dyed)hair and headband. What a fake!!!!!!!!!!

Only 2 years older, didn't have much growing up. No, I did like here, but when I seen that video I just could not think she could get that low.

Of course Clinton's got it- he's got the clap- and I think McGraw would have more credibility if he would be willing to leave his daughters with clinton for a few days when they are about 17 years old. What a duffuss!!!

Born in Delhi, La., he grew up as Tim Smith. But at age 12, he learned his father was baseball pitcher Tug McGraw, who had had a brief affair with his mother.

He shows no respect for his mother's sacrifices by taking this irresponsible clod's name over his own family name.

To call him a shallow fool would be an understatement.

I should have read through all the posts before I posted my first response. I just jumped in at the spot where WKB pinged the MS ping list. My first thought when I read that quote was that it was a Bubba-esque remembrance. My mother spent about $200 to $250 on our first VCR in 1983. I have tapes of the 1984 Winter and Summer Olympics. I only remember one other classmate having a VCR. Hers was a Betamax. Within two or three years, all my friends' families bought one as the price dropped.
