Well, I disagree.
He merely quoted a Scripture reference that suggests that those who "divide" God's land will be punished. I disagree with his opinion that this is the case with Sharon.
But, just because I disagree with him, doesn't make him a dumbass.
BTW, he has done more for good for the conservative movement than you will do in 1000 lifetimes.
Correction: More good and more damage than most of us could do in 1000 lifetimes.
Well, Freeper rattrap
doesn't make conservatives
and Christians look nuts
once or twice a year.
Beyond that, it's always bad
to make assumptions
about Freepers and
who they are and what they do.
You just never know . . .
I agree with Skooz on this one. No one likes fire and brimstone preachers, but I don't see how Pat's reminding us of the words of scripture makes him a nutjob. The real problem lies with those who see his statement in purely reductionist terms as just a hypocritical way of making a personal attack on Sharon.
I don't think anyone here is complaining about his quotation of scripture.
I disagree with his opinion that this is the case with Sharon.
That's where the problem is. He's entitled to believe that, and we're all entitled to disagree if we wish. Some of us (speaking for myself) think it's damned presumptuous for Robertson to tell us or even imply he knew Sharon's stroke was in fact God's will.
But what's worse is how he seemed to sell out his belief when Israel started to walk away from his real estate deal. His beliefs (as originally stated) seem to have a price.
Unless you personally know who "rattrap" is and what he does in his personal life, you have no basis to judge this FReeper. IMHO.
