Delusional I think.

James Taranto of Best of the Web Today on OpinionJournal.com posted his comments on an article by a desperate Dem who made the point that conservatives are better judicial candidates as they have more need to hone their arguments -- in academia and in law they are less apt to find people who think as they do. In contrast, liberals can live their whole lives without encountering a conservative.

Taranto makes the argument that as conservatives are more aware of their environment, conservatives are smarter. LOL!

Remember how snippy Kerry got when someone reported that a calculation was done to project IQs (which likely has a high error rate) and Bush's IQ came out higher than Kerry's? Kerry was furious.

Then when the grades came out, even Kerry's professor was "puzzled" as he thought that the (shiftless relative of the Forbes empire who became a gigolo before he became) Senator was a better student than a C. LOL!

How true.

I don't think anything demonstrated that point better than these hearings.

Those that were in support of Judge Alito's confirmation were able to muster a phenomenal array of facts, figures, citations of case law and Constitutional law, and irrefutable expert testimony on behalf of his nomination.

What did the Democrats have to offer in rebuttal?

The flaccid, insipid flailing of decaying Mastodons like Senator Kennedy, whose rhetorical skills have atrophied to the point where all he is able to do is rely upon brute force and incessant bullying.

And even in this respect, his strategy was a complete and utter failure.
