The best whopper to come out of those hearings is the accusation from the head of the NBA-a partisan, rabidly left-wing advocacy group for African-American lawyers-and the head of the NAACP Legal Defense Fund-a group that is filled with similarly partisan, anti-Bush demagogues-that those testifying on Judge Alito's behalf-even those who were liberal, black Democrats with extensive ties to civil rights litigation-weren't credible witnesses because they "knew" Samuel Alito.

Well yes, that's why they made better witnesses than the ignoramuses the Democrats called upon to provide "expert" testimony.
