to take it further..Bush and/or the next president will have the chance to name 3-4 justices....thus locking up a solid conservative majority for the next 15 years

Unless something unusual happens, at best President Bush will get one more nominee (and I strongly hope he does).

As for the next president, he (or she) will only lock up a solid conservative majority if he nominates conservative individuals. At the moment, none of the leading contenders from either party is likely to do so.
