I agree this does not help us.

Hard line lefties will consider moving back to the Libs and/or Greens to punish Layton. To some degree, they will weigh their conscience versus stopping the Conservatives. Either way it helps the Libs more the us. More importantly, it reinforces the nonsense opinion of some voters, who may be swaying Conservatives that "they are all the same". So long as they hold on to that opinion, idiots like my in-laws, will convince themselves to vote Lib.

If the libs go after Layton and continue to triangulate against Harper's seemingly anti native strategy Harper could fall short on the finish line.

There are not a lot of votes in the native community but they have a lot of pull in the resource sector and a lot of sympathy among non anglos and non francos.

Make not mistake natives are an untapped wedge constituency
