I wish the cameras would show more wide shots. We need to see which of the senators stay in their seats to listen to what Alito is saying.

I've always said home viewers could play Jeopardy better if the camera stayed constantly on the puzzle. After all, the players in the studio can see the puzzle at all times, home viewers just get to see it when letters are being added.

Same here. Home viewers of this hearing would have a better understanding of how rude and lazy and disrespectful the senators are, if the cameras stayed on them while Alito is speaking.

"I wish the cameras would show more wide shots."

I had those same thoughts yesterday. During the proceedings things could not be discussed because so many of the Senators were NOT in the room. It wasn't apparent to me how many of the committee are not in attendence during the questioning.

I won't hold my breath for CSPAN to expose that fact, though.
