I'm gathering that Bilbray is the kind of chicken who runs scared from the liberal press? A squishy "moderate"? He sounds to me like the perfect audio-visual aid for demonstrating precisely what is wrong with the California GOP. He should be avoided like the plague.
Thanks for the update. I didn't realize yesterday that I was responding to a post from over a month ago!
Regards,
LH
Heh.... I just went over this thread again and noticed that it was an old thread that laid dormant for over a month until it was bumped by a newbie with the screen name 'bb1'. ("Brian Bilbray 1"?) Interesting.
Good catch. I didn't even notice the screenname, only the date. These threads are incredible with BB supporters and their implausible denial of the record. The record is the record, yet apologists want to make excuses for each and every liberal position he has consistently and repeatedly taken. Guns, Gays, the Environment, etc. There is also quite a bit of muck to rake if you check a couple of the other 'bilbray' threads. IMO, he is damaged goods and will hurt the GOP and conservatism if he prevails.
BB1, hehehee.... Maybe it IS Brian Bilbray ! I didn't realize he was so... ahem... "articulate." ;-)
Wonder if Darrell is gonna threaten anyone who doesn't support his guy again...
What a hoot!
The poster does seem to focus in on a few minute details that most would not know.
Articulate... yeah, that's the ticket!
For some reason, where Bilbray gets brought up, I think of the Beach Boys' song, "Surfer Girl." I picture ole Brian in drag swaying back and forth while his RINO groupies serenade him. ;-)
Well, the race seems to be getting even more interesting in the 50th. A new entry: V. Eric Roach.
Something was just posted this morning about the mega-millionaire entering the race.

He is, reportedly, a conservative who has hired a bunch of folks from McClintock's campaign team. There is some interesting commentary about his background on Flash Report that is worth reading.

At the same time, a couple of FlashReport contributors seem to be lining up against Kaloogian saying he is "annoying."
With a name like "Roach", you think he might be able to appeal to the pro-druggie libertarians. ;-)
Eric Roach is a very impressive addition to this race.
I haven't found any red flags with respect to Roach. I noticed that FlashReport failed to include anything about his stance on immigration which I would be interested in. The other part of Fleishman's write-up that caught my eye was his implication that Roach could split the conservative vote (with Morrow and Kaloogian), thereby pushing Bilbray into the lead. That would NOT be good news, IMO.
An interesting race, nonetheless.
Illegal Immigration and National Security
The world changed on September 11, 2001. Our borders must be strengthened to protect ourselves and our national security against economic and terrorist threats. Illegal immigration damages the economic progress and efforts of those millions of legal immigrants. The heavy burden that our local and state governments carry must be shifted to the federal government.
Fine, but pretty light on substance.
The other part of Fleishman's write-up that caught my eye was his implication that Roach could split the conservative vote (with Morrow and Kaloogian), thereby pushing Bilbray into the lead.
This is the kind of thing that always sends up a red flag.
Does Roach have any connection whatsoever to Issa?
Downright squishy, in fact.
