I'm no lawyer either. I understand that 'stare decisis' means is the doctrine under which the court adheres to past precedents. Is that right? If so, it certainly should not trump the Constitution itself, and Schumer (even though he hasn't practiced law a day in his life)should know that.

BTW I know he WENT to law school, but did he graduate? Or if he did, did he take and/or pass the bar exam?

I'm not a lawyer but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night [cue music].

As far as I'm concerned: The Constitution = stare decisis maximus. And what about the past decisions the left doesn't like? Dred Scott for instance. Do they really want to assert that bad decisions can never be overturned?

The lefty's lack of commitment to the idea of objective reality and truth always undercuts them in the long run.
