I'm having a flash of insight. Sessions asks Alito about not reaching a decision preematurely, and Alito goes into detail about how a judge must not go into deliberation with an agenda, or a pre-conceived notion, or prejudice. How important it is to keep an open mind until he's heard all the facts. (this is a theme, a promise Alito has made about how he decides cases.)
No talking head will bother to point out how apt it would have been for Alito to compare a judges responsibility to the democratic senators on this panel WHO WILL VOTE AGAINST him no matter what he says!
A party line vote actually hurts the Dems..it shows all their chatter about "being openminded" is pure crapola..
