all this talk about the 10 year old makes me recall an episode of cops where the police found crack cocaine in a baby's diaper and a gun in the baby's carriage some people dont have any morals and good cops can spot those scumbags

When my son was born in England, I had to take him to the US Embassy in London to get his passport and Certificate of American born abroad. It was possible to do it in one long day, so I took him in a small carry cot. He was just 8 weeks old. We had to enter and leave the Embassy 3 times that day, and the Marine on guard searched me, him and the cot each time. I was annoyed that such overkill was being exercised. (I didn't think I looked like a terrorist!!LOL!)
But - it was during the heyday of the IRA - and now know that explosives could have been hidden in the mattress, etc ---
Perhaps, my Irish features were being profiled? Or the fact that the carrycot was handmade, and I was dressed in boating clothes? Ie, not Grosvenor Square/Harrod's fashion clothes.
