He did! I caught that too! He's basically saying our legislative branch SUCKS and therefore the judges have to clean up the mess. Um, nope... sorry dumb @$$!!!
I am totally understanding you...and I agree with you, but, I also believe, like I posted earlier...
That if I am comfortable with my own crediblity and ability, and it is a job I want, I would actually be flattered to know that my looks was a deciding factor.
I used to do some hiring...and I have to be honest...that when I hired guys...the looks wasn't the deciding factor, but did, sometimes, make the decision easier.
When I hired women, the looks NEVER that I know of, really entered into it...but, their personality (optomistic, fun)..did play a part.
I don't think one can divorce one's self from their visceral feelings about people given equal ability and experience.
And the best is yet to come..Graham, Sessions, Coryny, Brownback, and Coburn

:-) I spent many years working with and for lawyers and focused on the word because.
I have also worked in many dysfunctional environments where I was able to turn a negative operational situation into a positive. I am glad that I never had to worry about my credibility because if I did, I would have been dead in the water given the depth and scope of the corrections I had to make happen.
If Alito is up to it..he should ask for a dinner break, then stay the evening..finish up the first round..that, by my calendar would put Schumer on opposite "Commander in Chief"..LOL
