However most customers at self-serve stations take a lot of time compared to a high-volume station's practised attendant. Can you turn the whole enter grade, amount, unscrew fuel cap, place fuel cap someplace, remove nozzle, insert nozzle in tank, hold the trigger, fill, remove nozzle, replace nozzle on pump, find gas cap, screw on gas cap, shut fuel door, and settle payment, count change in under 100 seconds?

And do it for about six cars at the same time + wash the windshield.

My sample set of time-measurements is from a four nozzle high-volume station, no windshields, just cheap gas. Two attendants, most of the time. I suspect that an attended station where the attendant had to handle more than two and sometimes four nozzles at a tme would not achieve 100 second turns, would be much slower. Too much movement and waiting at the pump.
