Been driving over 30 years, and I've never pumped gas. In Jersey the attendants actually get nervous if you get out of your car, like you're going to assault them. I moved from Jersey to PA over 5 years ago and still haven't pumped my own. There are gas stations in PA where they'll do it for you.
I think the last time I had someone pump my gas was some time in the early 80's.
