I truly hope the comments do get wide news coverage. They should. However, I'm thinking that many reporters have lost their backbone when it comes to reporting what's right.

I truly hope the comments [Specter's, critical of the accusatory tone set by some Senators] do get wide news coverage. They should.

I think they'll make the news because they can be cherry-picked in a way that makes it easy to spin against the point of view that Specter expressed; or at least that there is a fight a brewin'. DEMs like shout fests.
