This doesn't bother me at all because 1) the victim specifically forgave him and 2) the offender has taken responsibility for the crime and expressed full remorse.

Not only that, Agca has specifically stated that it is "no coincidence" that the shooting occurred on the anniversary of the Fatima apparitions in Portugal. Curiously, Agca developed a rather strong devotion toward the Virgin Mary during his prison term despite his Muslim faith.

Taken responsibility for the crime? Are you kidding me? He committed the crimes he was accused of and, therefore, there is no need to ask him whether he takes responsiblity for them.
Whatever remorse he expressed is a lie typical of all Middle Eastern people. I expect Agca to be in the news again soon after his release. A leopard does not change his spots.
