We watch the analog/SD stations at the correct aspect ratio. No one seems to mind that there are black bands on either side. And we have a DLP monitor so we don't have to worry about burn in.
Well, we're looking to convey the CRT projection unit if/when we ever sell our townhouse. The target unit I have in mind for a replacement is the Mitsubishi WD-65731 65" 1080p DLP.
