He'd still be ML if the Republicans hadn't made the rule...which, by the way, the dims don't have.

He was probably right to give up trying to save his ML role. After the petition for him to resign surfaced, there was no way he could continue.

So are you saying that the Republicans should revoke the rule..... Didn't they revoke the rule and then bring it back? I think DeLay even supported the return to it.

At this point, DeLay might have had to step down as ML without that rule. I remember when the GOP tried to get rid of that rule. The hypocritical Dems howled and cried and the GOP dropped it.
