Scott Thomas update: mom's guardianship continued!
Scott's fight website ^ | 1/3/06 | Pamela Patton

Pamela's guardianship renewed for another six months!  Please see "Scott's News" for more information. (continued at link)

http://scottsfight.com/Scott's%20News.htm

January 3, 2006

Today was the long-anticipated status hearing on guardianship for Scott.

The hearing took place in judge's chambers with Pamela and her attorneys and Eliza and her attorneys.  Pamela presented the judge with information that she has now filed with the court to have Scott declared "partially capacitated".  This means, at the very least, that he would then be allowed to indicate his preferences for his social environment, such as who is allowed to visit.  He has repeatedly indicated that he does not want to see Eliza, but he does wants to see his son.

Pamela also informed the judge that, after Scott is legally determined to be "partially capacitated",  they would be filing for a divorce for him.  [emphasis mine]

Eliza indicated to the judge that she would fight any divorce proceedings.

The final item that Pamela presented to the judge is that Scott is scheduled for surgery to close his tracheotomy opening, which should allow him to regain his ability to speak and make sound.

Based on all the above information, Judge Wilkes ruled to grant Pamela another six months of full guardianship of Scott.  This will be a crucial time for Pamela and Scott, as they continue to work, not only for Scott's recovery, but for him to regain the right and ability to truly "speak for himself".

Please continue to join us in prayer and other support for Scott and Pamela as they continue the battle for LIFE.

I agree. He is married in the eyes of man, one way or another. I do not know if Mikey is really concerned whether it is a valid Sacrament of Holy Matrimony or not, in the eyes of God, but I do feel for the kids, and am bothered that Fr. Schneider and Bp. Lynch allowed this to happen.

I bet Mikey didn't bother to ask Msgr. Malinowski

Amen!!

What is the point of even being a politician unless one wants
to use the bully pulpit to expound with passion on the great
moral issues of the day?

The current crop all sound like they are reading note cards
whenever they speak.

What a way to lull the masses into a trance like slumber
over life and death issues!

Ah yes, good point. Even if the church says their marriage is nul and void the state doesn't say that so they will still be married.

uh huh. And who's been saying that Bishop Lynch is a BINO for quite some time? Even non-catholics! My dear friend explained the rosary to me. Bishop Lynch refused to pray it for Terri as she lay dying needlessly, suffering at Easter time. Remember that Lynch shares some attorneys with death attorneys and I think a sci-fi or 2. Atty DiVito of St. Petersburg - from an older TEJ article.

The Pope has a hand delivered, framed version of Terri's last prayer card that states her date of birth and date of death given him by Terri's parents shortly after Terri was murdered. He should defrock B. Lynch.

Oh, he's not a real Lutheran. Lutherans are against what Judge Greer and Michael did. Just like Mikey's not a real republican either and as you know, he's not the only RINO who was on Terri's death squad.

If Jodi was granted an annulment of that marriage, then she may get remarried in the Church. If her marriage to Scott Blough was not recognized by the Catholic Church in the first place (maybe a priest didn't preside), then it doesn't even need to be annuled. At least, this is how I view it from my Catholic upbringing. I am certainly no theologian.

They are married according to Florida law. The problem here, as I see it, is promoting scandal within the Church. I doubt that Michael is at all concerned about what the Church thinks of his marriage to Jodi, but if Jodi has been "trying" to be a good Catholic, then this has got to be bothering her. We all knew years ago that Jodi wanted a Catholic wedding, but I wonder just who she is trying to impress (God?). If she has a conscience anywhere in her supposedly Catholic body, this should be bugging the bejeebers out of her, every bit as much as making illegitimate babies with Michael, and offing Terri so she could "have" Michael all to herself. Somehow I just don't expect her to have any more conscience about this.

"Frist is so milquetoast"

I listened to him in that interview. He was back-peddling every way possible. Is he up for reelection soon?

He was for it before he was against it. He was for it until he realized the majority of the people didn't want the government in these decisions. If he was using polls for his info, most of the polls I saw were slanted and had PVS stuck somewhere in the question.

If one reads the entire article at NCG about the Schiavo-Centonze marital snafu and Bishop Lynch, they will find a link to Bishop Lynch's statement re: Terri.

It is not a heavenly statement but rather hellish.

Before they were married under Florida law, they were cohabitating against the law but it was never enforced, although it could have been used to DISQUALIFY Mikey as guardian.

Mikey got so many BREAKS from J. Greer I'm surprised Mikey doesn't have osteoporosis.

For freepers and lurkers: THE EASTER THREAD FROM LAST MARCH WHEN TERRI WAS BEING TORTURED TO DEATH...There was nothing right about what they did to Terri. It was FELONY MURDER. Reading this thread shows the suffering caused to Terri's blood relatives and all of the people who tried to help them. Everybody was in a state of growing frustration that in these United States, an innocent woman was being starved to death. The constitution just didn't work for Terri. hmmmmmmmmm

A lot of alleged leaders dropping their respective balls lately.

See, you aren't the only one who does stand-up comedy :-)
