Pamela's guardianship renewed for another six months! Please see "Scott's News" for more information. (continued at link)
http://scottsfight.com/Scott's%20News.htmJanuary 3, 2006
Today was the long-anticipated status hearing on guardianship for Scott.
The hearing took place in judge's chambers with Pamela and her attorneys and Eliza and her attorneys. Pamela presented the judge with information that she has now filed with the court to have Scott declared "partially capacitated". This means, at the very least, that he would then be allowed to indicate his preferences for his social environment, such as who is allowed to visit. He has repeatedly indicated that he does not want to see Eliza, but he does wants to see his son.
Pamela also informed the judge that, after Scott is legally determined to be "partially capacitated", they would be filing for a divorce for him. [emphasis mine]
Eliza indicated to the judge that she would fight any divorce proceedings.
The final item that Pamela presented to the judge is that Scott is scheduled for surgery to close his tracheotomy opening, which should allow him to regain his ability to speak and make sound.
Based on all the above information, Judge Wilkes ruled to grant Pamela another six months of full guardianship of Scott. This will be a crucial time for Pamela and Scott, as they continue to work, not only for Scott's recovery, but for him to regain the right and ability to truly "speak for himself".
Please continue to join us in prayer and other support for Scott and Pamela as they continue the battle for LIFE.
City officials say the data will be kept strictly confidential.
It has been strictly confidential, until now. They are not planning to make it confidential. They are planning to take away the doctor/patient confidentiality. They cannot make it confidential by making it no longer confidential. The really sad part is that so many people are too stupid to understand that.
not a HINO this time but a WINO
By most accounts, Judge Edward Cashman was once a reasonable, fair-minded, common-sense Vermont jurist.
Today, he epitomizes the black-robed high priests who are so familiarly out of touch with the will of their constituents and the laws of the land they are sworn to uphold.

Confidentiality and right to privacy mean doing bad things to people behind closed doors. That's the NEW meaning of confidentiality.
ALITO CONFIRMATION HRG: Today, Sen. Tom Leahy who is a LIAR, brought up TERRI SCHIAVO. He said more than once that she was PVS and of course, he knew that because Leahy's wife was a nurse. Note, Leahy never SAW TERRI HIMSELF NOR DID HE TALK TO HER REAL DOCTORS, MANY WHO SAID SHE WAS NOT PVS.
Alito didn't talk about Terri but went back to the CRUZAN case to discuss medical treatment. Apparently, Alito was coached to dodge Terri Schiavo questions.
On a lighter note, I had a nightmare last night about Charlie Crist. That's a ringing endorsement for Tom Gallagher for Governor.
www.tg2006.com Everyone, please get behind Tom Gallagher who married a woman who has strong religious beliefs and it changed his life.
Crist is a secular humanist imo and that means he's in with the ACLU and the felosers. Crist is not a man of faith. If anybody thinks Crist is, bring your proof of his religious beliefs to this thread.
Good luck finding any such proof.

TALLAHASSEE--Florida's Gov. Jeb Bush will seek to strengthen the protections in Florida statutes for incapacitated persons during the legislative session "so that no one can take advantage of their vulnerable state, not even an estranged spouse", according to Rachel Rodriguez, general counsel to the Governor.
Rodriguez was responding to a letter written to Gov. Bush by Greenacres, Fla., resident Paul Timmerman, a long-time time advocate of justice for brain-injured Terri Schindler-Schiavo who died March 31 at Pinellas Park hospice after Pinellas County Court Judge George W. Greer granted the petition of her husband and guardian, Michael Schiavo, to remove her feeding tube.

Excuse, North Country Gazette, NCG, not "NCJ."
The USDOJ visited too but (the agency which doesn't not condone torture nixed rescuing Terri last year).
HHS also visited TEJ.
There is an ongoing investigation of Terri's civil rights being violated but it could have been done while she was still alive.
The teacher in New York wasn't the first person to complain to the USDOJ. The ongoing investigation is based upon the teacher's complaint.
The entire world knew that an innocent woman in Florida was being starved to death. The USDOJ didn't need anything in writing to know someone's civil rights were being violated. Who will investigate the USDOJ?
Nobody of course.
But Ginger Berlin, June's former partner at TEJ, seems to have flipped her lid. It was she who (in her capacity as business manager of NCG) highjacked June's own journal and took it offline. I strongly suspect this was a criminal act. Ginger has no property interest in NCG. By intruding, she has therefore cheated NCG's paid subscribers and they will have a criminal complaint.
Berlin is also the one caught red-handed sending threatening e-mail to NCG. The lady had better grow up or she's going to end up in deep legal trouble.

Freedom of the press is at issue too. I have no personal grudge against Ginger but I hope she's quite through.
CORRECTION: 2. I don't appreciate Berlin's suppression of important developments and news regarding justice for Terri authored by Maxam.
That is so sad..I didn't know they weren't getting along.
