South Elgin man appearing on CNN to push for deportation of Illinois 400,000 illegal aliens
By Tara Malone Daily Herald Staff Writer Posted Saturday, December 31, 2005
Debate surrounding illegal immigration in Illinois that sparked protest in Arlington Heights, packed an American Legion hall in Elgin and emerged as a political hardball in the governors race hits prime time this week.
Activist Dan Kairis of South Elgin will appear Monday on CNNs Lou Dobbs Tonight program, where he will make the case to deport people living illegally in Illinois all 400,000 of them.
About 4 percent of the estimated 10.3 million unauthorized workers in the country live in Illinois, according to a report released earlier this year by the Pew Hispanic Center.
Kairis, a member of the Illinois Minuteman Project who helped found the Independence Party of Illinois, contends confiscating homes, cars and possessions of undocumented workers could bankroll their deportation. Illegal immigrants would have four months to leave on their own, according to the partys platform.

After all it is not unheard of. We confisgate drug dealers property!
Now folks cannot yell..WHERE WILL ALL THE MONEY COME FROM TO DEPORT THESE PEOPLE! Here is your answer. Any money left over? It goes to the local sheriff as pay back and incentive.
Happy New Year to all!!
...and these people probably have pretty nice cars, etc. they don't pay income taxes on their earnings. they get handouts from the government, and send money to their home countries.
Wow, maybe there might be some job openings too...
Think I might be considering a move to Illinois.
Ping!
Think I might be considering a move to Illinois.
EVEN I would tell you not to do THAT!
We have the #1 corrupt Republican and Democratic parties in the 50 states.
It is like living in the twilight zone!!
It's about a fabulous solution and an immigration platform NOT the Party!
Let's think POSITIVE!!
not that much better in Los Angeles, Ca
PING
Talk about your CCRs...
As to this article, I like the guys platform. But honestly I don't see why everyones getting so worked up. If one is here illegally, they should be deported immediately. No ifs, ands, or buts.
Round 'em up-head 'em out.

400,000? Wonder how many of them have been voting?
There is a DRIVE (no pun intended) by the Governor of Illinois to give them drivers licenses in the spring...enter MoTOR VOTER and he gets re-elected!
A large percentage of 400,000 makes a pretty good cushion. Jeepers.
IMO all who hire illegals should be fined, and split the fines with the whistle blowers.
The illegals are threatening our economy, our safety, and our health (TB etc)
"400,000? Wonder how many of them have been voting?"
All 800,000 of them, naturally.
and split the fines with the whistle blowers.
THAT is another great idea!!!
Now there's an idea I can live with! GREAT idea, now if only our politicians would come up with ideas like that and follow thru!! And add the no anchor babies and we have the PERFECT solution.
I think there's a surprise coming about this issue.
Because, most of the people braving the truth about illegal aliens and trying to realize real, practical solutions to the problem (I include "deport illegal aliens" efforts in the practical measures) are proving to be supported by majorities among voters.
It's proven to be unproductive to most voters by now -- that those people who display fear of pursuing forceful measures about the illegal immigration problem offer good candidacy -- and a lot of us are actually dissuaded by candidates who are fearful or dodge answering straightforwardly questions about these issues.
Ah, but I think I see your point as to the 30% of votes in Illinois...since the other 70% are the votes from the deceased and illegal aliens. Ha. ~;-D
BTTT a great idea!
400.000?
Could that be correct? I have encountered at least 400,000 myself in Cook County that did not seem to speak a single word of "American English" or even any English. That fact alone leads me to suspect the number is closer to 4 million as it seems likely most legal immigrants would speak at least a phrase or jumbled word or two. A legal arrival would have likely had some resources and planned, and had time to attempt to learn a phrase, or two.
