I can't help but think that such an ego would be incompatible with a successful marriage, unless the partner was a total wimp. I tend to think the opposite would be true -- that only a person with a strong, healthy ego him/herself could be comfortable in a relationship with another strong ego. Weak, insecure egos are generally behind relationship problems. Those with confident egos can brush quite a lot off like so much water off a duck. I'd rather be married to a guy with a big, strong ego any day.
