Cool... all I have is a 15 year old dog that moves real slowwww. She's no help at all. ;-)
I'm giving this a try, I just want to see how well-behaved the app is.
As long as it gets out of my way when I need the computer, I think it's great. So far so good.
LOL (at the pic)!
Trying to find out if anyone has any insight or has experienced this error:
[23:53:52] Quit 101 - Fatal error: NaN detected: (ener[13])
It sent results up to that point and downloaded another module. Said it could be anything from a hardware problem to the simulation had found its end.
Also, anybody else know what temps they are running? My Pentium D EM64T cpu is running about 59c and my AMD64 X2 is running about 42c. CPU usage about 95% on both.

You're not alone...http://forum.folding-community.org/printview.php?t=10894&start=0&sid=c2e1a3ab1883523e7332ba4dc34ce39c
My p4 3.4 HT (lappy) has been running at 52-56c, I have a cool stand under it.
My 2X MP 2800+ AMD box has been running at 62-70c, I got the sides open and the dog blowin' in for me. :)
Funny thing, ALL my envelopes in fahmon keep turning yellow and red, and all are running slower than normal, even though CPU use is steady at 65%.
:O)

What's it mean? Looks like Chinese to me. :-)
Looking on the folding forums, certain runs have problems, and need to be debugged. If it's a hardware problem, you'll usually just get an aborted early work end, with no explanation.
Temp wise, I've got the servers stabilized at 60c, and the laptop is running flat out at 65c, but it's under warranty, and will be, for about 2 1/2 more years.
The only unit I've had errors on, has been a w2k advanced server, and it never would sucessfully launch a core. But then again, it's an IOmega NAS, and has always been kinda flaky...
I dunno. I haven't been able to find any real clear documentation on fahmon, but I think it has to do with how you're performing against the benchmarks.... someone correct me if I'm wrong on this. Mine has been solid orange since I started this run... another 600 pointer.
ACK! For an AMD, that's cooking temperature. Seriously, throttle that one back, you're risking thermal destruction.
Vantec makes a great cooler... VANTEC AeroFlow VA4-C7040
Thanks, guys. I was running one of the same projects as one of the folks on the forums that had the same error. Better it than me :-)
I was pretty sure it wasn't going to be the ram as I bought up for this box - OCZ PC6400 x 4. I had it overclocked to 3.8 from 3.0 but throttled it back for the FAH runs. These damn EM64T chips run hot enough as it is.
It means we're doing REAL GOOD... and they're jealous...
Across the bottom are the days, and on the left, is the #of points uploaded for that day. We're now up to around 16,000 a day
Thanks for the reply. It's been like that ever since I built it. AMD says it's a Tyan issue, and versy vicey. :)
I've got Vantecs. Heck, I've got just about everything'cept a radiator.
I've got a friend that wants it for a satellite project he's wokin' on, so I'm gonna trade it away in the next month or so.
To be honest, I'm pretty much done with trying to stay current with desktops. I know of a company here in Atl that gets the corp lease returns, and I get 'em really cheap, so I'll stick to buying new lappy's and returned desktops for $49.00.
I'm looking at a dual core amd64 right now.
:O)

Sweet!

He/She started their team, most likely after she realized we have a successful team. They'v been adding computers quickly and they have 36 CPUs foldig for the DUmmy team.
Meanwhile "Screw Them" Kossacks enlisted only 18 CPUs.
Always better to stay off the bleeding edge, unless you're just the ultimate computer nerd, that just has to have the latest and the greatest... me, I wait about 6-9 months, so everyone else can do the product review, and debugging for me... :)
But what I really want to do, if I can talk the old lady out of the money, is to purchase a blade computer unit... 8 computers, that fit in a 3U high rack enclosure, and the only thing you have on the desktop, is a 1x3x2 box, an LCD monitor, keyboard, Mouse, and speakers...
That's ok... beginning Monday, I can get back in my buildings... how many more CPU's would you like folding for us?
Only problem is, they won't be 24x7, just Monday morning through Friday afternoon, but that's about 120hrs of processing time each per week...
and don't discount Freepers either. We've been adding about 10 per day for the last couple of days, and there are quite a few who haven't shown up on the scoreboard yet...
