With the way the Papacy was handed out in extreme nepotism in the early years of the catholic church, a female pope is a possibility, but very unlikely.
The early history of the papacy is not a pretty thing. From being the controller of great amounts of wealth handed out for favors to holding orgies, its history is not what most would think it is.

(1) Your claim of nepotism is highly exagerrated. It existed, certainly, but was not "extreme".
(2) The early history of the Papacy, from Peter to St. Gregory the Great, is incredibly awe-inspiring. The world's first system of leadership based on goodness, not military power.
(3) No Pope ever "held orgies" - that's a myth spread by uneducated idiots with an agenda. There isn't the slightest shred of evidence to support such a charge.

Sorry, but that is NOT the "early history of the papacy". They call them "the Middle Ages" for a reason.

Do you have a link or are you just spouting anti-catholic hatred?
