Is gun confiscation strictly a liberal plan or mindset?

Gun control is a totalitarian mindset. Anyone who wants to rule a people by force, first needs to remove from the people the ability to defend themselves. This was true in feudal societies. It was true in Nazi Germany and the USSR. It's still true in Africa, NK, China, and the Fourth Reich European Union. Either defend your right to keep and bear arms in order to protect yourself, or just put your chains on and obey.

We don't know if the author's "brother David" had threatened the woman who shot him.

An elderly woman killing her daughter and daughter's boyfriend. That is the type of man-bites-dog story that makes news.

A google search of "Jenny Price" + handgun comes up with this blog, which identifies the brother as David Price . The story has, however, the fiance killing David Price, not the elderly mother.

A Google of "David Price" + murder, or fiance turns up nothing.

Of the 12,000 guns used to kill people every year, 160 are used in legitimate self-defense. Guns in the home are used seven times more often for murder than for self-defense.

Where's the author's source for this stat? Or is it the "87% of all Statistics are made up on the spot" type?

You are spot on with your moral arguments. The right of self-defense is unalienable. There is a great book on the subject of the history of the Second Amendment....The Second Amendment Primer by Les Adams. I highly recommend it to the "chior" and to the unwashed.

It's a quagmire! A QUAGMIRE I TELL YOU!! 12 million killed by gun violence in the US in a year and 2000 died in the war in Iraq. We need to have an exit plan to pull out of the US and move to Iraq where it is safe. Sarc/

I asked a question regarding the Nazi's, I did not make a statement. The question I asked, if one considers the full range of facts, has answers and understanding that goes beyond simple explanations, but rather, there are nuanced understandings where one would not automatically conclude that by definition alone they were indeed liberal (socialist is a term of art) but rather a more complicated description would apply.

HA! That's great! I've began thinking of my Colt Series 80 .45 ACP as a "slingshot" that makes more noise than a regular slingshot. It launches little 230gr "rocks" with enough speed though to make it as if I were to strike somebody with a bowling ball travelling at approx 90MPH.

VERY useful I'd say since I would hate the thought of carrying 8 bowling balls in the weapon, and 8 more in my pocket in the spare mag!
