Bob, we really need to get you some education on the early church. St. Peter was crucified upside down in ROME, and the site of St. Peter's basilica marks his grave.
Luke also travelled quite a bit, definitely to Greece, as did John. Bartholomew and Thomas are believed to have gone to India.

Ooops, that didn't come out the way I intended. The Apostles preached and established churches throughout The middle east and Asia Minor (and to Rome), but I thought the phrase "to the known world" which might have been an overreach. Whether or not Bartholomew or Thomas went to India is still debated and Luke was not one of the original twelve (Judas was replaced by Mathias).
