The only reason that China is prospering now is that communism is dying in China. Sure there are state owned industries, but the trend is towards the free market. The big question is when will political freedom catch up with the economic changes. It may take a while, but I believe that China will become more democratic. The only real "communist" states in the world now are N.Korea and Cuba. Both will not last another decade. Castro will die and so will his revolution, despite Hugo Chavez. N. Korea is starving it people, the new army inductees are so puny due to malnutrition, they won't be able to fight.
