Pat just turned 4, and he can read and write. Aside from refusing to use the toilet (which was largely our fault for letting him get away with it), he's a genius!
He's also really weird - his brothers and sisters have been practicing mind games on him. I've told Anoreth that she's going to have to pay for his therapist, as soon as she's old enough to get a job!

Me? I didn't learn to read and write until second or third grade. No wonder my parents nicknamed me Surrender. They must have taken one look at me when I was born and gave up.
