China has not always been our enemy, and the Chinese people are not now. This too shall pass.
China is changing, rapidly, and it needs to. Change also came to the Soviet Union. They thought they were getting "Restructuring."
What they got was a large measure of freedom. It will come to China too. Economic opportunity is growing. Christianity is growing.
Change is coming, and it will be good for China, and for us.

So why the large scale military buildup, then? They have no visible enemies that require such a force as they've built--and continue to build--in the last few years.
I suppose going on war footing could just be a sign that the regime means business as a world power.

I've said it for years, but no one has believed it to be so. Most people have a problem separating China, the land mass from China, the people. They are human, and will only take just so much intolerance before they will no longer tolerate it.
