Well, I figured you had other things to attend to.

And I agree that it isn't wise to add to the keywords or to the length of the thread. I think the decision to "move" every month was a good one. When I was on dial-up, it was so slow that I was constantly aggravated that I couldn't post in a timely manner.

I like DSL, but I also remember what dial-up is like. I try to be aware that it's probably not fun for those who have dial-up.

Unless telco's figure out a way to get more analog bandwidth out of their PSTN, 56k is about all anyone is ever gonna get on dial-up.

OTOH... Powerline Broadband is currently being rolled out on test case networks and getting really good results. This could finally push hi-speed networks to where ever there is already an eletric line run.
