A 400 dollar picture tube will protect a 10 cent fuse by blowing first.

Ah...I heard the California Flu was headed to Utah. It's some really nasty stuff. I hope you are on the mend!

I just thought that automatics were more widespread in America than they are here.

It's unusual that your pickup has only four forwards, most heavy veicles have five forwards, they need the fifth one for more 'juice'!!

On the bright side, you don't have to worry about some mook keying your car.

This is a 4-cylinder Toyota truck...it has room in it for two short people because it has a bench seat.

It is old and ugly, and until this week, it was running just fine.

They already did that.
I had him lick the road salt off the fender for his efforts.

And also had some woman mistake my car for her boyfriends car, and she left a nasty note under my wiper blade telling me how she was going to screw around on him for being at the store with 'her'.

I was left wondering what kind of ditz wouldn't know her boyfriends plate number as mine is distinctive..

Let's put it this way, an unbroken egg is not in a stable state - you are afraid it will break, when it breaks - it is in a stable state because you can't break it anymore!!

That explains it, I think the fifth forward gear was a fairly recent development, at least it was the case with Nissan. I remember we had an old van with only four, then we got a newer model, it had five.

That's why I like mine...it isn't shiny enough for someone to want to key it.

Maybe!

Her entire note was about how she was gonna bump and grind with his two best friends and how she was going to mae him pay.
I laughed about it, sorta, and wished she'd left a phone number so I could call and leave a message for her to let her know she did something extremely stupid..
BUT, she didn't.

*sigh*

I wonder if she screamed at him when he got home, and if she figured out just what she did that was so stupid...?

I think a higher percentage of cars in America are automatic, than cars in Europe

Lots of vehicles here have 5 speeds. The Toyota Celica I had was a 5-speed. Even a lot of automatics have five speeds. With the miles of empty highways in this country, a 5-speed engine is about the only way you make get some places quickly without using up a lot of gas, or putting lots of wear on the engine.
