You seem to have stepped in a nest of zeros

Well, that's nothing to complain about.

Toilet report: Patrick made it through our trip out yesterday excellently, but he had a puddle earlier this morning. He gets so involved with "Blue's Clues ABC Time" that he can't remember the bathroom, obviously.

At least he's learning to read!

"Exactly how fast do you think this thing needs to be?"

You get a lot of frictional losses from the atmosphere during the initial boost phase. I want to end up at orbital and sub-orbital speed.

If possible, I want to be able to go single-shot to interplanetary. That's an after atmosphere speed of seven miles per second, or over 25000 miles per hour.

I'd probably need to exit the launcher at Mach 40.

(New tagline)

Patrick is making excellent progress!

Soon he will learn the purpose of commercials.

Good tagline. I think your innate superiority overcomes any technological backwardness.

LOL! Unfortunately, our videos and games don't come with commercials, so someone has to get his attention!

:Dances in:

Grumble. Last day of "freedom" before the tsunami called "January" slams into my life. Work, church and the state legislature all start piling on; I won't be around much.

"... your innate superiority ..."

The only superiority I observe is the inherent superior ability of the human brain to store and process information.

Knob equals neuron, and tube equals axon or dendrite. Scientists are far underestimating the capacity of the brain.

Clue: How do single cell and non-chordate animals learn and remember? How do you program a paramecium?

I sit in my cubicle, here on the motherworld.
When I die, they will put my body in a box and dispose of it in the cold ground.
And in all the million ages to come, I will never breathe or laugh or twitch again.
So won't you run and play with me here among the teeming mass of humanity?
The universe has spared us this moment.

The days dwindle down. Don't forget to wave!

Did you get anything done in your time off?

If I knew that, I could get a 4-year-old to use the toilet!

"... in all the million ages to come, I will never breathe or laugh or twitch again."

Poor Nonny sounds depressed. I like this attitude better.
