Not counting illegals in the Census is a great idea!
Currently, illegals are counted in the census which is used in doling out government funds.
Local businesses pay illegals off the books so FICA, Federal Income Tax and state/local income taxes are not being paid by the illegals and their employers.
Therefore area where these non-taxpaying illegals live receive federal, state and local funds for their upkeep w/o the tax money being paid into the local, state or federal coffers.
Businesses can profit greatly by hiring illegals; they need to be encouraged to not hire illegals.
Neither party will move on this.
It’s up to us to start a grass roots movement.
I humbly suggest the following.
Dear Business Owner;
I was in your establishment and happened to notice that you may be employing illegal aliens.
Please be advised that you are required to collect FICA, federal, state and local income taxes.
You are also required to have a valid social security number for each employee and remit taxes on a quarterly basis.
Please ensure that you are following all applicable employment and tax laws.
Businesses can profit greatly by hiring illegals; they need to be encouraged to not hire illegals. Unfortunately, asking them to quit or pointing out how what they are doing is harming the country is having little affect.
It's past time for laws that impose large fines and substantial jail time for employers who hire Criminal Aliens.
