I recollect the Old Testament patriarchs argued and pleaded with the Lord,but I am certainly not presumptious enough to tell Him that He is wrong.I have difficulties with some of what we are told by others that He said. Any man is an imperfect filter unless you are one of those that denies God's gift of free will.

That is all sort of aside from Mat 16:18, 19. Did Jesus speak those words? If He did, is it reasonable to conclude He let His church fail after promising to send the Holy Spirit upon it to teach it all truth?

Where in the New Testament is there evidence Jesus would let His church fall into heresy and be replaced by a multitude of different churches?
