"Mr. Hoey, the university spokesman"
Mr. Whooeee
When I saw it, I mentally pronounced it that way, and thought, "You just can't make up stuff like this".

This story fits in with the mentality of ultra-libs many of whom see themselves as brave truth warriors challenging the evil Bush admin. They concoct these tales and convince themselves that it should be true therefore it must be true. Since most ultra-libs live in a fantasy world of nasty, old conservatives always trying to oppress "progressives", there obviously comes a time when most libs cannot separate truth from fiction. Which for libs starts at an early age and is a daily occurrence.

No problem...I wanted to post the article in a Usenet newsgroup so did a Google search under News. As it turned out, I ended up using a Boston Globe article instead because it mentioned how Ted Kennedy & some news organizations had run with the false story...

It's the seriousness of the charge that we need to consider here. we will sort everything out after a thorough investigation. Let's not forget that we nailed Scooter Libby even though there was no crime committed. We need to get our enemies in front of a Grand Jury. If we can do that, then we can make them lie, technically, and an indictment is duck soup.
