With a press corps wanting to nail the president how is it that this subject was not touched on at all? Did i miss it or something?

Yes! Definitely. I didn't mean to imply that he's monitoring all Americans calls, only those with known terrorist ties AND those that need immediate action. AND their is extensive legal and Congressional review.
