President: W e will under current law if we have to. That's why there's a FISA law. There's a difference between detecting so we can prevent and monitoring and it's important to know the difference.
Question: You said the speed isn't fast enough using FISA.
President: We do use it but we want all tools at our disposal. SOmetimes we need to move very, very quickly.
Question: Democrats have said you've broken the law and want an independent investigation. Are you willing to go to COngress and explain.
Pres: We'vemet with Congress over 12 times. I understand concerns but I also want to assure American people I'm doing what you expect me to do.
