I have never understood why the Republicans don't get a bunch of very wealthy people and fund managers together and buy a controlling interest in these big companies that own ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN, Washington Post, etc.,. . .

Seems like a good idea, but rich Republicans who made their money through investments didn't choose loser stocks like that. They invested in companies that actually produce something useful.

True enough. However I think a conservative-oriented news network would not only be a political boost but a great business opportunity. Consider Rush, Fox News (before it started sliding left), and the 'net: A huge untapped market exists. Someone is going to get very rich serving it.
