Did you hear Dennis Ross on Fox?

He pretty much confirmed what I was thinking when I heard the news...

that if something like death happens to Sharon...Israel's political scene is in BAD shape...that Sharon is it...and there would be a hugh void.

That is very scary news, don't you think?

I think it could be a good thing. Whoever takes over will be so politically week, initially, that he'll HAVE to show some balls. Say, by striking Iran, maybe?

Ross is a dimwit and a legend in his own mind.

Israel is at a loss for good leadership now... because Sharon is in power.

Best of luck to Ariel, but hopefully this is the death knell to Kadima and splitting Jerusalem.

B.S.

Sharon is sacrificing his nation for "peace", no thanks to the Bush administration.

While I don't wish ill on Sharon, Sharon's leaving the prime ministership would be good for Israel. He has become a near dictator who through his force of political individual will for his own power has severely threatened Israel's security and sovereignty. Not that there are any great leaders, that I know of, ready to step up and do much better but let the field open up and hopefully someone can emerge.
