A person is guilty of criminal possession of a weapon in the first degree when they posses 10 or more firearms (legally or not) and the penalty is a class B felony. And a future legislature could very easily change "10" to "1".

A person is guilty of criminal possession of a weapon in the first degree when they posses 10 or more firearms (legally or not) and the penalty is a class B felony.Future legislation could also very easily change "class B felony" to "misdemeanor" or "parking ticket." This provision could cover a lot of gun owners who aren't gun traffickers, e.g. people in possession of untaxed cigarettes.
