Queens Muslim leader backs statements of Iranian leader

Snip: The leader of a large Shiite mosque in Queens has joined the new Iranian president in disputing the Holocaust, saying the Nazi massacre of an estimated 6 million Jews during World War II "has been exaggerated."

"The numbers which have been mentioned are too much," the spiritual leader of the Imam Al Khoei Islamic Center in Jamaica, Sheik Fadhel al Sahlani, told The New York Sun. Sheik al Sahlani, who said his mosque has a membership of about 3,000, said that the killing of innocent Jews during the war was "an injustice" but that the extent of Nazi persecution needed further examination. "The numbers, the reasons, we have to study more," he said.

Scandal in Oregon - University lacking Islamic studies

Snip: In the midst of national scandals, a local scandal has gone on long enough and demands immediate investigation. An independent commission should be impaneled by the governor to investigate why degree programs in Islamic and Middle Eastern studies do not exist at the University. What forces led to the inclusion of Judaic studies while excluding Islamic studies? Why is it that Judaism, the religion of roughly 15 million people worldwide, is studied, while Islam, the religion of 1.2 billion people, is ignored? Imagine the protestation if the case were reversed.

Hamza: Killing unbelievers okay

Snip: Alleged race hate cleric Abu Hamza preached that killing non-Muslims was justified even if there was no reason for it, an Old Bailey jury heard today. "Killing an adulterer, even if he is a Muslin is OK. Killing a Kaffir (unbeliever) who is fighting you is OK. Killing a Kaffir for any reason you can say it is OK even if there is no reason for it," he told an audience. In it he says Islamic beliefs should be spread with the help of the sword. "Dawa propagation of Islam through word and action) needs a sword next to it and also needs effort."

He says that those selling alcohol should be persuaded to come to the mosque. "Make sure that the person who gave him the licence for that wine shop doesn't exist anymore on the Earth. Finish him up. Give him Dawa.

Haza: urged followers to bleed the enemy

Snip: He explained how to establish a caliphate: "The first thing to do is be trained ... There's no real need to go and train for tanks and aeroplanes. Where you going to find those? You can't make them yourselves. To be trained of what is available for you ... Every court is a target, every brothel is a target and everybody who's endorsing that is a target ... You have to bleed the enemy whether you work alone or work with a group or you work with your family. Work has to be done. Then after you have done that, obviously you will be on the run."

On "bleeding the enemy," he told his audience: "Like you imagine you have only one small knife and you have a big animal in front of you, the size of the knife you can't slaughter him with this. You have to stab him here and there until he bleeds to death, until he dies ... This is the first needle, this is what the brothers in Algeria now are doing, they are bleeding them. This is the first stage of the jihad."

The butcher with terror ties

Snip: Earlier this month, Hayes writes, federal immigration judge Anthony Rogers decided to deport Ahmad Mohammed Barodi, a 41-year-old Arlington, Tex., convenience-store owner. Barodi testified in a January 4-5 hearing that he entered America in 1989 on a phony Syrian passport furnished by the Syrian Muslim Brotherhood (SMB), an Islamic terror group. He admitted to smuggling bogus passports into Saudi Arabia for SMB. According to Justice Department records cited by KTVT, CBS’s Dallas station, the SMB sent Barodi to a “21-day guerrilla warfare training camp” in Iraq in 1982, “with the approval of Saddam Hussein.” The document adds: “Barodi advised that the Iraqi government provided all of the training aids consisting of RPG’s (rocket propelled grenades), firearms and the facility.”
