Even worse, I fear Congress may use the immigration bill to create a national employment database that has nothing to do with border control and everything to do with monitoring American citizens and employers
I think that's exactly what's going to happen. Ron Paul always tells it like it is.

I agree with most of what Ron Paul wrote but I disagree with him about the need for reliable workplace ID's and a database so that employers can quickly and accurately check the status of prospective employees. If Ron Paul could roll back everything else that has been done by the Federal Government then maybe he would have a point. Until I see that happen, he is living in a dream world that has nothing to do with current reality.

Since no president is going to enforce the law on this issue, then it is imperative that employers be forced to check a database to see if the SS number matches. Employers should be fined if they hire an illegal alien.

I'm hard pressed to name a more sensible member of congress on a wide range of issues than Ron Paul.

Very good from Ron Paul. He is not a Wall Street Journal open borders type of libertarian

I noticed how W had no problem at all signing the "REAL ID" act, his overflowing pro-illegal credentials notwithstanding.
