Why bring in a supernatural explanation when a natural, testable one will do perfectly well? If there is only one kind of causality, one will do perfectly well. My experience with nature is that there is more than one kind of causality.

How does that make an untestable assumption (divine interference) better than a testable one (natural, physical causes)? And what other kinds of causality are there?
