It seems the courts are just a crap shoot, arrogant, cloistered, corrupt and oblivious. That's been my limited personal experience and recent judicial history bears it out. Poor, Cory Mayes, very likely innocent, but of no political value to anyone.

Sadly to a certain extent I agree with you - There are absolutely major problems in our court system. Both criminal and civil court systems.

Additionally in the Mayes case, if one of those cowboy cops would have plugged him during that reckless assault (all in the name of the WOD)....this officer would have received a week or two suspension and that's all.

Mayes loses his life - Sad.

I think I concur. When dealing with politicians, I am doomed to being two days behind them. By the time I think I've got it, it doesn't matter any more. However this matters. I live north of Los Angeles. There are entire section of the city I never visit. Tookie rules there. Parting is such sweet sorrow.
