In this case, and in my opinion, Tookie's death is required for their to be justice and sanity.
Irrespective of whatever books he has written and so-called good he may have done since, none of that has not brought back to life the four he brutally killed, or filled the void he caused to be left behind for their loved ones.
If he has helped others...good. Now let him finally pay for what he did to the four he ruthlessly murdered.
