( A guy has a party and invites all of the celebrities/singers/salseros.  He names them in the song.  After the party is over he tells them, "Get Out!  I'm kicking all of you to the curb!  There aren't enough beds for so many people!  He goes on to observe that when you have guests and they ask to use the bathroom, that after they leave you go into the bathroom and it is like a pool. )

I saved this one for last:

Artist/s:  El Gran Combo

Song Title:  Asalto Navideño

Translation:  Christmas Assault

( No, it's not what you're thinking.  This is a Puerto Rican custom/tradition and can be done wherever a large enough group of Puerto Ricans live.  It can happen on any day between Thanksgiving and New Year's Day.

A bunch of people get together and decide to have a party.  They arrange the date, time, food, drink, etc.  They invite everybody.....except for one of their very dear friends.  They don't invite him nor tell him about it and try to keep it a secret from him.....because the party is going to be unannounced and at HIS house.

They agree to meet at a date/time/location near his house but not close enough to clue him in.

[ Sometimes his wife might have to be clued in but this is avoided at all costs. ]  Then they just hide and watch.  They usually wait until they see his bedroom light go out.   Then they all very quietly assemble on his front porch/lawn.  Someone pounds on his front door.  When he rushes to the door in his pjs and opens it everyone breaks into Christmas Carols complete with guitars, flutes, drums and every noisemaking percussion instrument known to man.

He rushes in to change into "decent" clothes while everyone prepares his house for the party.....rearranging furniture to create a "dance floor"/preparing food, etc.  Neighbors who hear the commotion might even show up and sometimes in pjs/robe, etc.

It is a very high compliment if someone "assaults" your house like this.  It means that your friends hold you in very high esteem.

We have "assaulted" a few homes at Christmas time right here in Houston.  Not only is the party a blast but the look on the guy's face when he opens the door is well worth the price of admission!  The jerky, low-down, low-life, dirty, stinkin', no-good-for-nothin' ratz did it to us one year,

too! )

Side Note:  I won't be translating entire songs.  I simply don't have the time.
