I was on a Southwest flight from San Francisco to Boston 2 years ago, that had a stop in St. Louis. Circled about 8 times, they come on the PA and say the indicator light says the landing gear is not down and locked. Can't fix it. They tell us to assume crash positions, the works. Then they land. Gear holds, it was a bad indicator not a bad gear. They gave everyone on the plane a free pair of tickets. We went on our merry way.

I would need a few stiff drinks before getting back on an airplane after that adventure and I don't drink, at least not very often.
What is up with Boston being the final destination? Years ago, my sister had a very bad experience on a flight into or out of JFK that included getting off of the plane with the emergency chutes onto the runway. She had a few drinks then had to board another plane to get to her final destination of Boston.
