Forgot to lower the gear? Nah, that only happen in LA on the Airbus.

Any local station have live streams online?WMAQ gave a quick bulletin with some preliminary pics, but they can't get a live crew out there -- I've been trying to find some pics.
I'm streaming MSNBC right now (at 11Alive.com -- yes, that's me driving there), and just checked what WMAQ was uplinking a minute ago, and couldn't get anything.

Should've tried the drive-thru at White Castle.Thanks. Do you have any idea how far I am from ANY White Castle Restaurant? And how much I'm craving, now that you mentioned it? ;>)

Lilia Chacon of WFLD on CNN doing her "best" Hindenburg reenactment.Just fitting, considering the annoucner that did the Hindenberg thing was from WLS radio...

I missed the barge explosion earlier this year by the Cicero Avenue Bridge by about an hour as well.

Thanks guys - I'll try MSNBC and keep hunting. WBBM spent about 10 seconds on it and went back to commercials and promos.

THis is going to have something to do with the auto-brake, SW policies, and the up-grades to -700's.
I believe that SW tried to make sure that all the new 737 cockpits were set up like -300 so the pilots didn't have to retrain or misread the new gages. The old -300 didn't have auto-brake and with the newer models they were real iffy about letting them use them. I know they were allowed to use "RTO" and were waiting for SW to allow them to use the auto-brakes on landing. I'm guessing at this point but I bet he was using it and set it either too high causing it to skid in the ice or set it to low and didn't stop fast enough.

It is quite a trip taking off from Midway. I've been on planes at least twice that have aborted takeoffs and gone back to try again.A landing is very different from a take-off.

That looks pretty small compared to some other airports. Certainly compared to BWI

Saw a 747 take off out of Peoria one time after it had to make an emergency landing there; it flew out with only the crew and used just about every foot of the runway.

So the White Castle is at the Southwest Corner on the last map I posted?
