I really didn't understand panic-attacks until I met my wife.

They really scare me and they happen for apparently no reason, she hyperventilates and can not be still.

Crowds and confined places like planes really set her off.

Go to the doctor and get some Ativan's.

Only planes set me off. But if you've ever had a panic attack on an airplane, you don't really want to get back on one! I'm sorry you're wife has them tho. They suck.

Don't repeat this aboard a plane...

I have suffered from panic attacks, off and on, for 30+ years.
I am on medication and if I miss it for a day, I will be messed up two days later, sometimes the next day. You really don't understand how awful they are unless you suffer from them or are close to someone that does.

The point is, if I was on that plane and had a panic attack, I probably would not be typing this now.
